African Horse Company - outrides and horse trails
The African Horse Company has stations on the reserves of farm 215, "Hartebeeskloof" between Gansbaai and Baardskeedersbos and on Mosaic Farm, 10 km out of Stanford. From both stations outrides of one hour to a full day are organised through pristine natural surroundings. Extended fully catered horse trails from 1 to 8 days are on offer as well. These trails take you from Mosaic Farm along the coast of the Walker Bay Reserve to the mountains of the reserve of Farm 215 and onwards through the Agulhas National Park. The horses are local "Boereperd" crosses. The horses range freely as a herd and are fully adapted to the environment with regards to grazing, weather and terrain. Noted for their endurance and sure footing, these horses are the ideal partner and friend for a few hours or many day trails. The African Horse Company is equipped with English Style tack. Saddles used are: General purpose English, Australian Stock, Universal military and Trail Riders. Horses are ridden with snaffle bits. Hard Hats are provided for.
